Learning About Long Read Sequencing Utility and Applications

Hosted by the Human Genome Sequencing Center at Baylor College of Medicine

Friday, January 28, 2022
10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The utility of long read sequencing has proven to be a valuable source of scientific discovery and medical relevance. These technologies have impacted many areas of genetics and genomics including reference genome and control datasets, genome assemblies and comprehensive assessment of highly repetitive or polymorphic regions.

The purpose of these seminars is to build a community interested in long read sequencing and provide an environment for learning, discussion and collaboration. For our first seminar of 2022, invited speakers from diverse fields will share their research experiences using multiple long read sequencing technologies.
