Executive Director, Strategy and Project Development
Ginger Metcalf leads the HGSC’s Strategic Partnerships, which includes large NIH and Precision Health initiatives. In her 15 years at the HGSC, Ginger has coordinated activities across Research, Operations, Legal and Finance to identify sample sources and develop the collaborations that drive the HGSC’s mission to improve human health through genetics. As Executive Director, Ginger oversees a portfolio of philanthropic, government and privately funded efforts to advance Genomic Medicine programs within Baylor College of Medicine and the Texas Medical Center. These programs demonstrate the clinical utility of genetics to health systems serving diverse populations, with the goal of eliminating common barriers to the integration of genetic insight into routine patient care.
